Ear Surgery
Otoplasty, or ear correction, is a popular procedure amongst both men and women or all ages. Imperfect ears can be a physical feature which is a frequent source of embarrassment for many patients and may make one very self-conscious. The cause of prominent ears is a congenital absence of a natural curve in the ear's cartilage which causes it to protrude rather than conform to the side of the head. Ear correction can give the patient both a visual and also a psychological boost. This is a common operation for children with prominent ears, but is an equally common operation performed on adults who did not have surgery during childhood.
